  1. take a paper square
  2. fold each of the corners into the center
  3. turn it over and you have a square again!
  4. fold the corners into the center
  5. turn it over to have a square
  6. repeat
  7. once you have turned the square over 3 times - STOP
  8. in front of you should be a square with 4 small squares inside, each of which have 2 triangular pockets
  9. hook your finger in one of those pockets and pull it up and to the side to form a cyllinder
  10. repeat with the pocket opposite the one you have
  11. make sure the base of the boat is unfolded to stand
  12. that's it, you have a boat
